Welcome to Sterlington
Sterlington was incorporated on August 15, 1961, and held the first town hall meeting September 11, 1961. Sterlington gets its name from John T. Sterling, who died on Jan. 6, 1859. Sterlington has experienced exceptional growth over the last three years.
